Ensuring Java is installed on Mac OSX 10.7 "Lion" and 10.8 "Mountain Lion"

Follow these instructions to ensure you have the necessary components installed to log in to dbRASweb.
  1. Click here to open the Java test page.
  2. If you see Missing Plugin in the middle of a white box:
    1. Click on the Missing Plugin text.

    2. You will be prompted to download and install the Java plugin. Click Install.

    3. Wait for the installation to complete.
    4. Once complete, you may try to access dbRASweb again; it should connect successfully.
  3. If you see Plugin Failure or Plugin Missing in the middle of a white box:
    1. Click here to open java.com in a new web page.
    2. Click on Free Java Download.
    3. Click Agree and start free download.
    4. Once the file has downloaded, double-click it to open the disk image.
    5. Follow the installer prompts to install Oracle Java.
    6. Once the installation is finished, open the Java Test Page again and verify that Java is now working.
  4. If you see the following image, you already have the required components installed; no further action is needed.

Ensuring Java is installed and configured correctly on Mac OS X 10.9 'Mavericks'

If you're having trouble logging in, follow these instructions to ensure Java is installed and configured correctly.
  1. Click here to open the Java test page.
  2. If you see the error mmessage Missing Plugin:
    1. Click on the Missing Plugin text.

    2. You'll be prompted to download and install Java. Click More Info....

    3. Click the link to start the Java download.

    4. Once the download is complete, launch the Java installer to begin installing Java. Follow the prompts to complete installation.

  3. Hit Command-T to open a new tab and browse to dbrasweb.db.com (keeping these instructions open in this tab).
  4. Log in using your dbRASweb credentials.
  5. If you receive an error when logging in, follow these instructions:
    1. Press Command-, or choose Safari > Preferences... from the menu.
    2. Choose the Security tab.
    3. Click Manage Website Settings...

    4. Click Java in the left-hand list then click the dropdown next to the dbRASweb server name (e.g. 'au-ult2.dbrasweb.db.com') and choose Run in Unsafe Mode. When prompted, click Trust.

    5. Log in to dbRASweb again and accept the security warnings. You should now be able to log in successfully.

Instructions for Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11

If you're having trouble logging in to dbRASweb on Windows 8.1 or have upgraded to Internet Explorer 11 and can no longer log in, follow these instructions to ensure your machine is set up correctly.
  1. (Windows 8) On the start screen, click Desktop to enter Desktop mode:

  2. Click the IE icon to launch Internet Explorer

  3. In the right-hand Settings menu, choose Compatibility View Settings.

  4. Enter db.com under Add this website: and click Add

  5. Click Close
